Да, не е голямо име в професията, послушен е и не винаги получаваше играчите, които той самият искаше, но никой не може да отрече потенциала, който има. Нека си спомним само какви мачове имахме под негово ръководство през сезон 13-14. Върна ни в ШЛ след близо 5-годишно отсъствие от турнира. За малко да ни направи шампиони след 24 години суша! Да, не успя да го постигне, но ни накара да мечтаем... Върна шума и ентусиазма на Анфийлд, макар и за кратко... В крайна сметка човека толкова си може, но пък все още е млад, има накъде да се развива, но от новак във ВЛ, направо в отбор като Ливърпул... Явно крачката беше прекалено голяма за него, пожелавам му да се развива, да спечели трофеи със своите отбори и един ден отново да води отбор с класата и традициите на Ливърпул.

Tony Barrett tonight reports that Liverpool hope to have Jürgen Klopp installed as their new manager by the end of the week and that the German has informed them of his desire to bring Peter Krawietz and Željko Buvač, who formerly worked with him at Dortmund, to Anfield with him.

Barrett also reports that FSG are prepared to allow Klopp to have final say on signings and that they are interested in offering Steven Gerrard a role as part of the coaching staff shake-up, as long as Klopp is in favour of the idea.

Tony Barrett on Brendan Rodgers and his struggles with Liverpool's infamous transfer committee:

''Rodgers didn't want a Director of Football, the owners wanted one, so the committee was formed as a compromise. The problems just grew from the start - Rodgers wanted to sign Clint Dempsey, the club wanted Daniel Sturridge, Rodgers wanted to sign Joe Allen for £15m and the committee thought it was excessive. That just carried on and on.

''It basically became an exercise in horse trading where Rodgers would want a player, the committee would want another player and someone would give some ground. In the summer, Rodgers didn't ask for Firmino but he was brought to Rodgers and he agreed but then he asked for Benteke's clause to be met and the club then did that because Rodgers had shown good faith in agreeing to take Firmino.

''So, basically, they both got things that they wanted but then they both got things they didn't want. That's no way to build a team and you can see that in the way Liverpool played - you had players that didn't really fit in and a system that didn't work.

''That doesn't mean the committee system can't work, but it needs a manager that buys into it fully. Maybe we'll find out in the near future if it can be a success.''

Бенитез беше голям тактик, ама хич го нямаше с хората. Имаш един от най-добрите халфове (Алонсо) и искаш да го смениш с Бари ... накрая остана без двамата. Освен това почти винаги като поведем прибираше отбора назад и ставаше някоя глупост.
Роджърс нямаше никаква тактика, нито в защита, нито в нападение. Напред станахме 2-ри (замалко 1-ви) въпреки него. Разчиташе само на гениални индивидуални изяви. С Джерард и Суарез се получаваше, защото двамата се разбираха много добре, а към тях се включиха Стъридж, Стърлинг и Коутиньо. Видяхме какво стана като си тръгна първо Суарез, после Джерард и Стърлинг. Без никаква идея за тактика не става. В защита пък от години играят сякаш за пръв път се виждат.
