AC Milan have been given the green light to begin plans for a new stadium complex to be ready for the 2018-19 season.
The Fondazione Fiera in the city has at last given the all-clear to the Rossoneri to allow them to take over the Portello area of the city, right next to their modernised Casa Milan headquarters, where they plan to construct a new arena.
Joint-CEO Barbara Berlusconi welcomed the news and is keen to model the new location on modern London stadia, promoting the use of public transport for supporters attending matches.
She is also excited for the financial benefits of the move, which she believes could total an income of between €50 million and €80m every year.
