Sampdoria manager Walter Zenga has ruled out a move for Liverpool forward Mario Balotelli.
"What Liverpool should have done was what Manchester United did when Wayne Rooney agitated for a move from Old Trafford in 2013 while claiming he was sceptical about the club’s ambition. They should have made him a contract offer that he could not refuse (before relations deteriorated to the point that he would not, apparently, sign for even £900,000-per-week). And why not make him captain too? Alone that would not change Sterling’s stance, of course – he seems far too savvy to duped by such a sop – but by giving Sterling the armband along with a contract making him, if necessary, the highest-paid player at the club, Liverpool would have been seen to rise to Sterling’s ballsy challenge and respond with one of their own: you want to play at the Champions League? Then lead the way, comrade."
Според Paul Doyle е трябвало Стърлинг да бъде направен капитан, а не Хендерсън.

It's him again!
But don't worry, this time Mateo Kovacic isn't on his way to Liverpool.
No, apparently "talks broke down" between Liverpool and Inter Milan for the midfielder (although the ECHO understands he was never on the Reds' radar in the first place) so Juventus have stepped in.
Forza Italian Football claim a (not so) secret meeting has taken place between the two clubs.
Започва много да ме е яд за Ковачич...
According to @Corriereit, Lyon have lowered their asking price for Alexandre #Lacazette to just €30m (£21.2m).
И все пак да се спомене.
Liverpool will listen to bids for Lucas Leiva as Brendan Rodgers begins clear-out with Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert, Fabio Borini and Jose Enrique in line for chop too.
Май май ще се взима халф щом и Лукас ще си тръгва.
