Arsenal To Seal €10m Deal ‘Within Hours’ – 5-Year Contract Agreed – Report

Arsenal are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Barcelona forward Cristian Tello, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The Gunners have been keen to bring in new attacking players this January due to an injury to Theo Walcott and a lack of backup to main striker Olivier Giroud.

Several players have been linked with moves to the Emirates Stadium, but it now looks likely that Arsenal will opt to sign Tello from Barcelona, who are willing to let the 22-year-old leave the club.
The versatile attacker has not managed to nail down a regular first-team place in recent seasons, and has been linked with Premier League sides Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in the past as well.
However, Arsenal's injury situation looks to have persuaded Arsene Wenger to act fast to bring in the Spaniard, with a fee between the two clubs still to be finalised.

Arsene Wenger has updated fans on the injury problems at the club - ahead of the tie with Fulham this weekend, and did not have much in terms of immediate good news.

It was reported earlier in the week that Aaron Ramsey was back for the game - but he soon ruled that out along with Tomas Vermaelen and Mikel Arteta - also ruling the trio out of the Coventry City FA Cup game.

“Ramsey and Arteta are both out for this game. Vermaelen too. I personally believe the three will miss the Coventry game as well and will be available after that.”

The two potentials for the game were Nacho Monreal and Tomas Rosicky, who both picked up knocks in the Monday night game against Aston Villa.

Monreal has a twisted ligament in his foot and is rated as a ‘big doubt’ while Rosicky underwent surgery for a broken nose in two places. But Wenger confirmed he could play with a mask - but it again seems unlikely.

He also ruled out Theo Walcott for the World Cup stating that such an occurrence was ‘not possible’ and Nicklas Bendtner until after the Coventry game.

Rosicky has been speaking to UEFA.com about his time at the club. The Czech Republic midfielder, who recently received assurances over his future at the club, is perhaps The Gunners in form player at the moment revealed his current content at The Emirates:

"I have always been attracted to the style of play. It's one of the reasons I'm so happy here. You could see the type of football they played before I came, with [Patrick] Vieira, [Emmanuel] Petit and [Thierry] Henry. It was great to watch – even when I was at Dortmund I enjoyed watching Arsenal."

Arsene Wenger will sign a new deal at the club according to The Mirror’s Arsenal expert John Cross.

He stated:

“Yes, we all think he'll stay. But he's making us sweat. Incidentally, another factor in his contract is that all his staff's deals mirror the manager's. So when Wenger signs, they all get new extensions. So, as you can imagine, they have sought and, from what I hear, got assurances. There's no panic. He is staying.”

Auxerre president Guy Cotret says Arsenal are not interested in Paul-Georges Ntep. The talented forward recently posted a picture of himself on the Eurostar to London - fuelling rumours of an Arsenal switch being imminent.

That now appears to have been a visit to talk a deal with QPR, as despite earlier reports of a €10 million deal being imminent, Cotret says Arsenal have not been in touch:

“Arsenal have not even expressed an interest. We just received one offer for the player and it was Rennes.”

Reported Arsenal target Dominik Furman has joined Toulouse for €2.7 million.

The Polish midfielder was linked with a move to join international team-mates Wojciech Szczesny and Lukasz Fabianski in North London - but sealed his move from Legia Warsaw today.

Finally, and it wouldn’t be a day in the life of Arsenal FC if Nicklas Bendtner wasn’t doing something stupid.

He has posted a picture of his ‘afternoon refreshments’ for after training on Instagram - complete with cigar and tall glass of red wine.

Not exactly going to hasten his recovery from an ankle injury.

Има слухове, че сме се срещали с агента на Мирко Вучинич и Хуан Куадрадо, които са много добри варианти. Нищо чудно да вземем точно тях, голаджия и крило. Точно каквото ни трябва. Венгер отрекъл за Вучинич обаче.

Arsenal are hoping to persuade Juventus to allow them to take striker Mirko Vucinic on loan until the end of the season to strengthen their pursuit of the Premier League title.
Arsène Wenger’s side stayed top of the table on Saturday as Santi Cazorla’s two goals gave them a 2-0 victory against Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.
Wenger, though, is acutely aware that his striking options are limited. It is understood that Juventus are prepared to allow Vucinic to leave in this transfer window but only if they can agree a permanent deal for the 30-year-old Montenegrin forward. Juventus have quoted a fee of £8.2 million in talks with Arsenal chief transfer negotiator Dick Law. Arsenal would prefer not to agree a permanent deal but talks are ongoing.
Vucinic is keen to leave and would like to join Arsenal after the arrival of Carlos Tévez and Fernando Llorente, who have forged an impressive partnership at the Italian club. Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a loan move for Vucinic.
Wenger on Saturday night that he was not “especially interested” in Vucinic when asked whether Arsenal were planning to meet the player’s agent this weekend. “We are looking at potential possibilities for us to get somebody in.” On whether a meeting was planned, he said: “Some people have visual capacities that I don’t have.” He added: “We are not on any special case. I would love to announce you something special.”

За 15 млн. Мората е подарък. Има страхотни качества и ще пасне добре на футбола на Арсенал.
Но не вярвам да стане. Това означава Реал да остане с един нападател, което е малко вероятно.
На мен този Дракслер ми идва малко прехвален. Но не съм го гледал и в много мачове.

На 20 години е все пак, а зад гърба си има 100 мача с екипа на Шалке, аз съм го гледал и е доста добър. Подобен трансфер става още по-вероятен, тъй като Байерн М се гласи да ни вземе Томаш Росицки през лятото, така че може би има нещо предвид и Венгер.
Мората трябва да си призная, че не съм го гледал много, но нашия човек има набито око за талантливите играчи и рядко греши.

Arsenal have put together a player-plus-cash deal for Schalke’s Julian Draxler, which could see Lukas Podolski going the other way.

Reports in The Sun claim the Gunners have offered £20million plus their German forward in exchange for Draxler, although Schalke are holding out for the midfielder’s full £37million release clause in cash.

Arsene Wenger is keen to land the highly-rated 20-year-old in the current window, and is believed to be happy to use Podolski, 28, as bait, but will wait to make his move in the summer if a deal cannot be agreed.

Podolski, who is a firm fans’ favourite at the Emirates, has only recently returned from a four-month lay-off, but is not considered first choice either up front, or as a wide attacker by Wenger.

Arsene Wenger is ready to make a move for Barcelona winger Cristian Tello after watching him in action on Wednesday night.


The Arsenal boss was spotted in the stands at the Ciutat de Valencia, where Barca were taking on Levante in the Copa Del Rey, and he will have been impressed as Tello grabbed a hat-trick in a 4-1 win.
The talented 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League during the January transfer window, and Wenger's personal check on the player will only add fuel to the fire.
Wenger could of course been checking on a number of potential targets, but it is thought Tello is the player he is most interested in ahead of the January 31 deadline.
Liverpool have also been linked with a move but it remains to be seen if Barca will be willing to let him go as they battle for domestic and European glory.

Arsenal Officials Fly Out To Germany For Talks Over Potential £35m Draxler Deal

With the January transfer window in full flow clubs are working hard to try and strengthen their squad for the second half of the season, so we’ll keep you up-to-date with all the latest news, gossip and rumours. Today, Arsenal step up their interest in Julian Draxler.



Arsenal officials are set to fly out to Germany this week to try and push through a late deal for £35m-rated Schalke attacker Julian Draxler, according to the Mirror.

It’s been a quiet transfer window so far in north London with no new faces arriving at the Emirates as yet, but that could change if Arsene Wenger is successful in striking a deal for his No.1 target.

Draxler has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal for the past 6 months and reports earlier this week suggested that we had offered Schalke £20m plus Lukas Podolski in exchange for the highly-talented 20-year-old.

It’s understood the Bundesliga outfit are holding out for the full value of his £35m buy-out clause and the Mirror claim we will now make a final push to try and agree a deal by sending a delegation over to Germany to hold further talks over the attacking midfielder.

However, despite the newspaper suggesting that Draxler is keen on making the move to north London, we’re going to find it extremely difficult trying to persuade Schalke into letting their star man leave this month – particularly as they are still in the Champions League.

With Theo Walcott out for the rest of the season, and the likelihood of increased competition in the summer, now is the perfect time to try and land Draxler and he could be the man who can lead us to the Premier League title this season.

While he’s predominantly an attacking midfielder, there have been suggestions Wenger plans on converting him into a striker – much in the same way he did in the past with Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie. If true, then Draxler would be able to provide cover on the wings as well as up front and would therefore be the ideal replacement for Theo.

It remains to be seen whether we’ll be able to persuade Schalke into doing a deal now, but I certainly hope we can as Draxler would be an excellent addition to the squad.
