The whole case concerns the events of 2012, when the then 21-year-old defender of FK Teplice was to take part in the arrangement of as many as five matches - one in the Czech Cup, two in the youth competition and two in the third league. As investigators found, Jablonsky took part in the entire action not only as a football player, but also acted as an intermediary with people who wanted to influence the results of these skirmishes for their own financial gain.
As if that was not enough, the representative of Cracovia also tried to persuade other players to participate in the entire procedure, which was confirmed by testimonies and recorded conversations. At the end of 2018, the 28-year-old heard the verdict. The court decided to suspend the Czech for a year and a half and fined him 20,000 kronor. After the appeal, however, he could continue to play football and last year he signed a contract with the team of Michał Probierz.
Less than a year ago, the judgment of the first instance court became final, which resulted in problems with the imposition of the penalty by the football authorities. The Czech federation was powerless, because the footballer after moving to Russia decided to deregister from its structures. However, the matter did not go away and the Czechs informed about the verdict of the Polish Football Association, FIFA and UEFA. It is worth adding that international federations are much stricter in penalizing corruption and, in the case of Jablonsky, it would most likely mean the end of his career.
The "meczyki.pl" website informs that the footballer left for the Czech Republic and intends to voluntarily submit to the penalty imposed in his homeland. In this situation, he will be suspended "only" for a year and a half, which means that he will be able to return to playing football. The 28-year-old will almost certainly not play for Cracovia anymore, although the contract with the Krakow club is valid until June 2022.
